Chapter 3
The Florida Years

Immediately following college, I spent my next two years in the Tampa Bay town of St. Petersburg, FL. I lived with my aunt Ann during my amazing time down there. It was only supposed to be a temporary arrangement, but I stayed the entire two years there! She loved every second of it though. I could tell. Here is a brief run-down of those two formative years.

May-Aug. 2006 WFTS ABC Action News It Happens! (fund raiser for Francis House) got job at ABC!
Sept.-Dec. 2006 ABC, Barnes & Nobles Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged) started working at Barnes & Noble
Jan. - April 2007 ABC, Barnes & Nobles Untitled Sondheim Revue decided to move to New York (finally!)
April - May 2007 Beaks Old Florida Untitled Sondheim Revue started bartending full time for cash

Living in Florida was so much fun. I really grew a lot there and learned a lot about myself. It was very different from my 22 years in the Bible belt. I made some really amazing friends and met some very interesting people. However, I knew before going there that it was a temporary situation, a sort of finishing school, if you will.
